Meggan van Harten, Co-CEO Design de Plume

The ease of time-tracking for any creative agency relies on the system it’s implemented with. Scoro provides endless filtering and view options for users to track time – on their schedule, in their preferred method.

Alyssa Heisten, CEO WC+A

Creative work requires careful time planning. When done right, it enables us to find the balance between staying organized, working uninterrupted, and thinking outside the box. With Scoro, we’ve been able to strike that balance.

Anna-Kaisa Reed, Art Director Aava & Bang

Adrian Strittmatter, CEO SAENTYS

FAQs

Creative, marketing, advertising, digital, SEO, social, media and PR agencies. Scoro suits any agency that bills client work by time, retainer or fixed fee.

Yes. Scoro is made up of eight core apps and you choose which ones you run. A small agency might start with time tracking and invoicing, then add quoting and project management later. You can add an additional app whenever you want. It’s still the same system, so everything’s already connected. See how it works on our pricing page.

Yellow Cherry, an 11-person creative agency, moved off five separate tools. Cash flow went up by at least 66%, mainly because everyone can now invoice work as soon as it’s done rather than waiting on one person. Read the full story.

The minimum is five users, and teams of up to 15 can set Scoro up themselves using our guides and video tutorials.

Yes. As agencies grow past 20 or 30 people, most move from time tracking and billing to the full quote-to-cash flow, because the gap between what you quoted and what the work cost stops being something anyone can hold in their head.

Above 25 people our onboarding team maps your workflows, configures the site and runs the data migration with you.

SAENTYS, a 50-person multi-entity design and marketing agency, moved off Asana, Deltek Traffic Live and spreadsheets. Revenue forecasting that took two full days a month is now real-time, and invoicing is ten times faster. Read the full story.

Yes. Scoro is used by businesses of 50, 100, 200, and 300+ people, and by agency groups with offices in several countries.

At that size, Scoro covers what enterprise IT and finance teams ask for:

  • ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant
  • Single sign-on, user provisioning and two-step verification
  • Permission sets you can set as tightly as you need
  • Separate entities, each with their own books, reported together at group level
  • An open API and an MCP server to connect Scoro to the rest of your stack

Collaborate Global, a brand experience agency working with Aston Martin, Audi and Sky, runs multi-entity operations, inter-office billing and multi-currency reporting across offices worldwide. Read the full story.

Yes. Retainers, fixed-fee and time-and-materials all run in the same system, and most agencies have all three going at once.

Each retainer period gets its own hours and budget. Unused hours roll over, budgets can be adjusted when the scope changes, and invoices can go out on the same schedule every month. You can watch the budget burn down as the work happens, so you can catch over-servicing early, not when you come to invoice.

See how Scoro handles retainers.

Yes. Agencies running separate offices or trading entities can keep each one’s books distinct, invoice between them, and still report on the group as a whole. Multiple currencies are supported, so an office billing in euros and one billing in dollars roll up into the same view.

DGA Group, a global firm with 380 people across 12 offices, replaced Deltek Maconomy and QuickBooks with Scoro. Group level reporting used to take six weeks and now takes two. Read the full story

Yes. Scoro Time is a dedicated app for time tracking and timesheets, on iOS and Android, so people visiting client sites and offices can log hours as they go. The app covers projects, tasks and approvals on mobile too.

Each of those tools covers only part of your workflow. None handles the full quote-to-cash process, so agencies end up running three or four in parallel. Every one you add is another integration to maintain or another export to reconcile by hand.

With Scoro you start with the core apps you need and add more as you grow. The data connects automatically, so there’s no re-platforming later, and you’re not paying for the full platform before you’re ready to use it.

ITCH, a 70-person creative content agency, ran Monday.com for projects, Harvest for time and a 13-year-old Google Sheet for reporting. Time wasn’t linked to quotes, project data wasn’t linked to time, and reporting meant hours of manual collation. They replaced all three with Scoro. Read the full story.

Most PSA platforms sell you the whole suite. You pay for every module whether you use it or not, and you have to set the whole thing up before any of it is useful.

Scoro is built as eight core apps. You take the ones that cover how you work today—two, four, or all eight—and pay for those only. Add the rest when you need them, remove any you don’t. Nothing gets re-implemented when you change, because the data already connects across everything you’re running.

A 10 person agency and a 300 person group can both run Scoro. Neither pays for apps they don’t need.

Scoro starts at $17 per user per month, with a minimum of five users. You choose from eight core apps and pay only for the ones you use.

Most agencies start with the Quote to Cash combination (Estimate, Deliver, Track and Invoice), which covers quoting, delivery, time tracking and billing in one connected flow. See full pricing for more details.

No. You start with exactly what you need. That might be two apps for simple time tracking and billing, four for the full quote-to-cash flow, or all eight to run the whole client and project lifecycle. You can add or remove apps at any time, and your data connects across whatever you’re running. Compare combinations.

Most agencies start with one of three combinations:

  • Time-billing — turn logged hours into invoices and never lose a billable minute
  • Projects & Resources — plan projects, assign resources, and see what time means in revenue
  • Quote to Cash — estimate, deliver, track and bill in one connected flow

Whichever you start with, the data connects across all of it — add resource planning a year in and it works off the time you’ve already been tracking. Build your combination.

Yes. Scoro has two-way integrations with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and Exact Online. Invoices, bills and payments sync between the two systems, so invoices raised in Scoro reach your accounting platform without re-entering data, and payment status flows back to Scoro.

No. Scoro connects to HubSpot and Salesforce, so your sales team can keep working where they are while won deals become projects in Scoro.

But you may not need a separate CRM at all. The Sell app is a lightweight CRM (contacts, deal tracking, pipeline management, quotes and sales reports) and it’s enough for most small agencies. Scoro’s CRM doesn’t do email tracking or marketing automation, so if you rely on those, keep your current CRM and connect it.

Beyond the core apps there are extras and integrations for specific needs.

The ones agencies tend to reach for:

  • Change request log — track scope changes so they get billed instead of absorbed
  • Customer portal — give clients access to their own projects
  • Project briefs — keep the brief with the project rather than in someone’s inbox
  • Additional entities — run separate offices or trading companies

Calendars (Google, Outlook, Apple), Google Drive, Dropbox and Zapier are included as standard. Stripe lets clients pay an invoice from a link, and there’s a Jira integration for agencies with development teams. See what’s available.

No. The customer portal add-on gives clients access to their own projects, where they can see progress and leave comments. You don’t pay for seats for them.

Yes. ELI is built into Scoro and works on your live data, so it can answer questions about your projects and finances and take action on them. It can draft a quote from a client email, chase the team for unlogged time before you invoice, or review a project’s health and flag budget overruns before they cost you.

A set amount of free AI credits is included in the platform for everyone. Learn more about Scoro AI.

Yes, on every plan. The Scoro MCP server connects your site to AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot Studio, so you can pull data and take action in Scoro without leaving your AI chat.

It also works across tools. Connect Scoro alongside Slack, Gmail or Jira and you can ask one question that draws on all of them. Learn more about the MCP server.

Yes. Scoro has an open API available on every plan, so you can connect it to systems that don’t have an off the shelf integration. See the API documentation.

For most customers, a few days to a few weeks, depending on team size and how complex your setup is. That includes importing your existing data (contacts, projects, invoices) and getting to know the system.

Agencies of up to 15 people set Scoro up themselves using our guides, video tutorials and product tours, with ELI on hand inside the product to answer questions.

Up to 25, our experts are available for Q&A sessions and email consultations. From 26 people, our onboarding team takes the lead: mapping your workflows, configuring the site, migrating your data and training your team. See onboarding options.

Scoro’s interface is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.
