What a fruitful year this has been! ✨
As we wrap up another remarkable year, we’re thrilled to highlight the updates that have made Scoro even more powerful, efficient, and user-friendly. We’ve curated a list of this year’s most impactful product updates.

Scoro AI

  • Scoro MCP server
    Connect Scoro with AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT via the Scoro MCP server and use prompts in natural language to pull data from Scoro, create or modify projects, tasks, contacts, comments, etc. in Scoro, or even orchestrate workflows across multiple tools and apps, all directly from an AI chat of your choice.
  • ELI insights
    Ask ELI for data in natural language to instantly generate the right view with all the relevant filters and grouping in place. Prompt ELI to help you with anything from simpler stuff, such as priority tasks or projects in danger of budget overruns, to more complex questions, such as profit margin, revenue, or capacity trends and comparisons over months and quarters, or clients, teams, and services.

Work management

  • Internal project type
    Use the dedicated internal project type to manage your internal projects and initiatives and separate them from client work, keeping the revenue data clean and ensuring accurate reporting and analytics around billable time.
  • Timesheet reminders
    Set up automated timesheet reminders to notify users about unsubmitted timesheets from the past eight weeks to keep your time data accurate and lock it in on time.
  • New project modify view
    We’ve upgraded the project modify view with a new, tabbed look to better support more project types and speed up project creation.
  • Revamped project task list
    Enjoy a brand new look for the project task list view and use the new quick actions to quickly add new tasks on the go and modify other task details, all without leaving the task list.

Finance

  • Quote estimation matrix for cost and price planning
    Use the new quote estimation matrix to quickly and conveniently add all the necessary collaborators for each deliverable, specify their planned hours, and manage the associated costs to mirror your project plan, while keeping the client-facing proposal simple and compact. 
  • Standardized billable time
    Draw the line between billable and non-billable time at the task and time entry level for client projects by marking tasks and time entries as billable or non-billable, or setting a specific amount of planned hours as billable, ensuring better data consistency and clearer reporting.
  • Allocating time and external costs to existing invoices
    Allocate time entries, bills, and expenses to an existing invoice to get a clear breakdown of the work covered by each invoice, making reporting around billable time more accurate.
  • Retrospective linking of bills to purchase orders
    We’ve extended our retrospective document linking functionality, letting you link your bills to existing POs retrospectively, ensuring accurate cost tracking against the planned budgets without requiring manual efforts.
  • Approval of scheduled invoices
    We’ve extended our existing financial document approval functionality to scheduled invoices, helping you ensure that the invoices exceeding a certain value are reviewed and approved by a manager or any other designated individual in your company before they’re sent to clients.
  • Dynamic rates for quote templates
    Enable the ‘Keep rates in sync’ option on quote templates to automatically pull the latest unit prices and labor costs when generating new quotes.

Reporting

  • Team performance report
    Use the team performance report to monitor team availability, bookings, tasks, and time entries in a single view to compare the data and assess how efficiently each team member’s time is being used.
  • More financial data in WIP report
    Track unbilled time, uninvoiced costs, and other financial data in the WIP report to visualize “money on the table” and forecast revenue and costs at completion.
  • Exporting data from Time-off report
    Export time-off report data to a CSV or XLS file based on your filtered view for further analysis outside Scoro.
  • Custom time-off types
    Create custom time-off types to align your time-off tracking with specific company policies or local requirements.

Time & resource management

  • Moving a single time entry to another task
    Move a time entry to another task directly from the task view to fix logging errors without deleting and re-entering data.
  • Recurring event duration limitation
    We’ve limited recurring event end dates to a maximum of 10 years from the start date to prevent data clutter and ownership issues when a team member who created the recurring event leaves the organization.
  • Managing bookings across entities
    For multi-entity organizations, the Bookings module now provides a clear overview of cross-entity workloads by showing all of a user’s or a role’s projects, regardless of which entity they belong to, while access controls remain in place.

Integrations

  • QuickBooks integration improvements
    You can now manually sync only one type of object (for example, only invoices) instead of all objects at once. Additionally, you can sync just the background items—data that changes less frequently, such as finance accounts, tax rates, entity names, and others.
  • Xero integration improvements
    If you’re syncing your invoices and bills from Scoro to Xero, you can now choose the default statuses to apply to the invoices and bills once they’re synced to Xero to best fit your workflows.
  • Expensify integration improvements
    Sync receipts from Expensify as file attachments on expenses to centralize financial documentation in Scoro.
  • BambooHR integration improvements
    The approved partial-day time-off requests in BambooHR also automatically sync to Scoro the same way as full-day time-off requests, updating the user’s availability in Scoro accordingly.
  • Scoro for Gmail™ add-on
    Convert emails to tasks and log time directly from your inbox to minimize context switching and admin work. Pull email threads into Scoro for context and add additional comments via the add-on.
  • PEPPOL support for Finbite integration
    If you handle cross-border transactions within the Baltics, use the e-invoicing via PEPPOL solution to send invoices to clients with a PEPPOL ID.
