Head of Engineering

We are looking for a Head of Engineering, who will be responsible for overseeing and setting the direction of our Engineering, Research and Development, and QA teams. You will have a significant strategic impact on the company. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful leadership in the engineering field within a fast-growing (SaaS) company, a strong vision for the department and will promote the best organizational patterns and practices. You will be part of the executive team reporting directly to the CEO.

Your responsibilities include:

  • driving the vision, design, and strategy of initiatives related to engineering, QA and infrastructure; clearly communicating the vision and roadmap to the teams
  • being in charge of the management of the department’s staffing, resources, and maintaining a best-in-class engineering department
  • ensuring the optimal application of engineering resources in order to meet product development requirements
  • managing the day-to-day activities of our Engineering, Research and Development, and QA teams – mentoring, growing and leading them to build a world-class software
  • collaborating with the Product, Integrations, and Design teams to ensure that product architecture, development sprint and release planning meet corporate and customer goals
  • staying abreast of leading and cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices

We expect you to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering in the SaaS industry
  • 3+ years of proven leadership successfully managing and growing engineering teams
  • experience in building highly scalable products with agile development methodologies in a startup environment
  • experience in managing, recruiting, coaching and developing highly skilled talent in Engineering, Research and Development, and QA teams
  • excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and energizing the broader team and peers, with a proven ability to create a highly collaborative working environment
  • a hands-on approach and a lead-by-example attitude
  • excellent command of written and spoken English
